My chance to wonder about hand made things and tell the world about those I make, love and cherish!

Monday 2 March 2009

This week I have mostly been playing with buttons.

I have got these ideas from all over the place but I can't really remember where.
Its been fun to do all those ideas stored in my head, so in no particular order.... a ring
covered buttons with cross stitch and embroidery

covered button with beads

making a corsage

a button book for a toddler

a necklace

a button man

a bracelet

pins for a notice board, also made fridge magnets
covered button with felt flowers
Now I should get on with some real work.

They're cute. I've just got a book from the library all about making your own buttons and now I can't wait to give it a go. Mind you didn't stop me buying a load of buttons off Ebay last night though :)

I agree - buttons are fantastic. I've been making button hearts which I sell on my website and they are so popular. Maybe there should be a button club!

Thanks for the link! it looks brilliant. Having just started blogging, I'm not too sure if I reply to your comments on my blog that you'll see them, so have added a reply here just incase!

I have been so saddened by how many lovely bloggy ladies have Angel babies but at the same time it helps knowing there is so many who understand.
I'm so sorry for your loss.
Big hugs

I like each of this little projects! That mand and those pins are just great!
I thought of you and your buttons...when I spilled mined from the same plastic box you have - all over the floor. Still haven't gathered enough enthusiasm to sort them out. It was my most organized part of the button stash, the rest is just in glass jars :(.
