Its been a busy week round here with as it is nears the end of term. School trips, school visits, sports days etc but I have managed to fit in some time for making.
Market Tote from Crafters Companion. (I think I need to change the blue riboon to red.)
It has taken a while but I now have a few creative friends that live nearby. You know the sort, they pick up a piece of fabric and immediately go all dreamy, well for one its a piece of wood but you know the thing. We decided we would have a go at selling some of our things. As we live on the edge of the Cotswold's we are hoping there will be some nice people with good taste willing to buy some of our things! We have booked a stall at a farmers market and so now I have to make something! I don't need to make too much as we are sharing a stall.
My own design beach bag using Ikea fabric.
Here are a few things I have made this week but then the camera packed up! I will let you know how the venture goes.
If I wasn't doing all this I would be making these birds!

I love the beach bag, just the right size for everything. Good luck with the farmers market! Thank you also for your comment.
Good luck with the new venture! Funnily enough I have just made a similar looking bag with the same Ikea fabric for a friend. Isn't it lovely?
Oooh, fun stuff! I love the bag with the Ikea fabric.
Exciting that you have a new venture! I wish you the very best of luck with it! Your bags are lovely.

Two great looking bags you made there! Good luck with the new stall - and fun to do it with friends too.
Good luck and love love love the beachbag!
Well done on having a design published. I used dimensional paint to add the gold and other bits on the quilt - I think a brand name is Tulip, but it is made by a number of manufacturers in small bottles with a nozzle.
You just wouldn't think it was fabric from Ikea............ it looks like a designer piece!
I do like your flower................ and the way it mixes in perfectly with the Marghuerita...........
I'm a new sewer (and knitter) and I tend to buy a lot of Ikea fabrics because the quality it quite good and the price is very reasonable. I also like the colourful designs.
Both bags look great. Was the market bag difficult to make?
Good luck with the stall.
