Well its the first of March, time to have a little
focus. We had half term which is good for keeping you focused on the fact that you don't have time for anything!

In between I have continued stitching for the exhibition. This is a panel with a quote from Romeo and Juliet which I had never heard before. Its one of those which is just so beautiful. Just in case you cant read my scrawl it says
When I saw youI fell in loveand you smiledbecause you knew
Next I had a go at making something that could be used. Its a sort of hanging pocket thing that also rolls up and can be fastened up. I really like the long thin shape for it.

I love to put things in boxes and so I made a padded heart to fit in this box.
I am pleased with all three but I want to move onto find other things to make. I could stitch the panels all day every day ( well if I had the chance!) but I want to try to make some purses or boxes.
The next focus has been the quilt. I have put all the squares together and made a large square approx 120 cm which is a bit small for a bed so now it needs a border... and a good ironing!

Not a brilliant picture but gives some idea of how fragmented the pattern will be. Its Irish nine patch only I made a mistake so its almost Irish nine patch but not quite.

That's a lovely piece of work, I really like these embroidered sentiments or bits of philosophy, I'm not sure if it's from THE Romeo and Juliet though maybe from a film based on it or the song? Doesn't matter still really nice.
I love the brooch and heart in the box especially! And I agree~the quote is lush! Keep up the good work!!! :o)
