A find of the best kind.

Ok so I was looking for size 9 girls wellies in the charity shop while waiting for a dentist appointment,
when I spotted a red box with 50p on it.
Ha..haaa ... a typewriter.

I

I had been looking for a typewrite for the kids. I remembered playing on my mums when I was small.
I was right. The kids love it

The 10 year old sat down and filled a page with the ramblings of a 10 year old mind. Scary
The trouble is that just next to the typewriter was a small sewing machine. In its own box.
A working miniature sewing machine.
I tried to resist, I really did.
I do not need a miniature sewing machine.
I do not collect miniature sewing machines.
I do not have room for another sewing machine but it was no good.
It sat there like a lost puppy and I gave up.
I have justified it by saying the kids can learn on it but ha... who am I kidding, I love it!
It is a chain stitch machine and I am still working out how to thread it properly. I am hoping the good 'ole Internet will help me with that.

I know you are dying to know...

I didnt find wellies.

oh you dont mean that!

ok,
as it's just you and me

It cost £15

I know.

I would definitely have left the shop with both of them too, especially the sewing machine.

WoW! Lucky you, If I see a typwriter I cannot resist doing mad, erratic typing to 'sound like a secretary' - same as when I was a kid! I clearly have maturity issues! lol!! That sewing machine is really cute too! What a good day you had!

such good finds, the sewing machine is fantastic. I kind of collect old sewing machines, I have 3, not a big collection but they are all from charity shops and I only have a small house. i love them really i do. The typewriter is great too, makes the kids see that you don't have to word process everything.
