Hip Hip Hooray!

Just back from a wonderful family holiday in Denmark to see the latest copy of Stitch magazine.
There in the bottom left hand corner is ......
drum roll please.......
My brooch! and inside on page 40 is the instructions on how to make it.

This is very exciting for me. I often have big doubts about my work and the things that I make so this is a huge pat on the back and a validation of the things that I make.

I have been thinking about my work a lot recently and I am going to try to have more confidence in my work and be less critical of myself. This is going to be the start of that new phase of thinking.

I recently posted a small square mixed media quilt and posed the question of what to do with it. I suggested in a box under the bed and Fiona suggested that I hang it on a wall. I can honestly say that i had not even considered putting it up somewhere and it made me look at it in a different way!

Congratulations on the magazine piece, you must be very pleased - I was going to comment a while ago but got sidetracked by your previous commenter called tillyboo, had to look her up - then got distracted with something else as I often do!
