Bunny in the headlights......

Really nervous about doing this at the moment..... feeling like I will be completely out classed!
I look at the things I have made and see no cohesive link that runs through them, more just a collection of things I have made. Any reassuring comments would be appreciated!

Quite right to be nervous! For no reason other than it's a fair and for some reason there are always those visitors who feel that the fact that you're behind a stall and they're in front of the stall means they get to be really rude! HA!
Cohesive link is obvious - they're all handmade, BY YOU! You'll find your style through trial and error and seeing what sells and what you enjoy making most (and hopefully the two will co-incide!). Just go along and be proud of your creations and enjoy all the compliments which will undoubtedly ensue. And for the few rude old bags who think they have a right to pass judgement... out-nice them! very best of luck! I so wish I could be there (I wouldn't be rude although I can be an old bag!) t.xx

Good luck, I have my finger's crossed for you. Just make sure you take some hand sewing with you to keep you occupied during the quiet moments. Here's hoping you don't have any quiet moments though!!

It is nerve wracking and you will get that one person who will diss your stuff whilst standing looking, with you the other side of the table! I have never dared say 'Helloo, I can hear you, you know!' We get that in the shop too - ignore them they just not creative so don't appreciate anything.
I'm dreading the B+B sale on Wednesday too as a few Mums can...well you know! I like what I make but some just don't like that sort of thing and some just don't like homemade stuff!
Just enjoy it make sure you don't spend you profits on neighbouring stalls - my downfall!

Aaaaww............... well, I'm totally familiar with feelings of insecurity..................... and I just want to say, the things you make are wonderful........................... really wonderful. You have nothing to worry about, and should just go with your gut feeling about making things, that way, you'll always keep the enjoyment, very important factor that........................

I'm sure you will do absolutely fine. There doesn't need to be a link, an eclectic mix is great....and don't forget if you worked along one theme and it wasn't someones 'cup of tea' they will quickly move on, but if you give people plenty of choice they stand, look and chat and hopefully buy. Good luck

Absolutely no need to be nervous! If you're a bunny in the headlights I'm currently running round like a headless chicken, trying to price everything which is ridiculous as I have boxes of vintage ribbons, threads etc which I can't possibly price AND be ready for the Fair!!! I'm sure your stall will be brilliant and I for one am looking forward to looking to see what you take.

I've never had a stall at a craft fair, but have had one at Macmillan fair. Only one piece of advice really, price up everything before hand. But you will be fine, its quite fun once you get going.
