Day 7 Lily of the Valley....

OK so now this is dragging on a bit but I feel I have to get to the end! I have done the flowers and stalks. I decided to pad the leaves with a little felt and then satin stitch over the top. I might add some light green knots as stamen but I need to see it almost finished before I decide that. Lettering next.
I haven't been totally obsessed with Lily of the Valley and have been doing some other things aswell. I have been helping a friend set up a Folksy shop. She makes lovely little wooden things. Her shop is here. Its a WIP, we are still working on photos etc. I was amazed at how easy it was. Might even do one for myself!

This is so beautiful! What a labour of love it must be to do such painstaking work.

Your friend's folksy shop looks great - you should definitely take the plunge too!

Your embroidery is so lovely. Will pop over and have a peek at the folksy shop and then have a look for the pants book! Have a great weekend.

Pretty work. I hope your friend is successful. One of the first things I embroidered was to finish a piece my grandmother started on black satin, springs of satin sitched flowers. Then I stopped embroidering for about thirty years!
