Thanks Kirsty.

Not that I need any encouragement from Kirsty to buy form junk shops, make things or buy handmade crafts but I really enjoyed this series. It gave me the perfect excuse to buy this mirror. More photos here from the woman who made it for me. Each time I look at it, it has such a sense of calmness to it. The colours are beautiful, the quality of the work is great and she has added tiny piece of blue glass which sets it all off.
Here is the missing Portuguese flag to go on the quilt, I know you were all so worried!

I get worried when it all goes quiet upstairs but I went up to see a huge mess but this going on! Oh it makes your heart sing..Now I had better go and join in.

That was a nice discovery! It all went quiet upstairs here this morning and we found our eldest asleep in our bed :)

Lovely mosaic work.

It's not often quietness in this house equates no mess! Love the mirror, makes me wish I'd kept all the pots my children have smashed over the years to create something of my own!

Aww so sweet! I love it when I discover my two completely engrossed in a book - like you I tend to suddenly think 'uh oh' when they've been quiet for a bit!

Lovely mirror.
