and finally.....

Its not my last post but here are the photos of my piece for the Hand and Lock embroidery prize.

I used the poem Phenomenal woman by Maya Angelou and I created a scarf to be wrapped around to give you the confidence to just be. I am me, nothing more, nothing less. It is made form taffeta and has lines form the poem all over, further hand stitching and swarovski crystals. ( They partly sponsor the prize so you are asked to try to use them. ) you also had to send in 2 piece of supporting work, hence the sketchbook pages.

As you know I did not even make it through the first round. When you look at the entrants that did you see that their work is mostly about texture where as mine is more about the text and line.

I am very pleased with this work but disappointed that it has not seen a wider audience but hey ho at least down to the wonders of modern technology you can see it!

I feel it is a good statement of where I am now with my work
