I am really not a big fan of January.
Why does February have that middle "r"? No, don't get distracted
well that brings me to a good point.
Now that January has passed (and the less said about that the better) I can start to see the new year ahead of me.
There was lots of discussion of words to describe the year ahead. I had no idea for a while but now I have got my word for 2010
ready for it....
drum roll....
FOCUS
that's my word.
Just a little one but enough for me.
I find it hard to keep my focus.
Mostly I set my own timetable and agenda. ( apart from the school pickup)
so mostly i pootle about avoiding housework doing what I want but this can lead to lots of half finished things
So I have DECIDED that this year will be focus ( there it is again) on getting things done and not distracted.
Machine stitching/crafting will focus on "THE QUILT"
Handstiching will focus on my slow cloth and creating the pieces for an exhibition in June.
I have a lovely stripey sketchbook I had for christmas will I will write down/print out all those fab ideas from all you folks out there so that I have them when I FINISH a project.Mind you now that I write it it doesn't sound too much as apart from distraction there is the issue of boredom as well. I get bored easily with projects but once I add in a little valentines project and a birthday I should make it through the month.
I WILL NOT GET DISTRACTED
I WILL NOT GET DISTRACTED
I WILL NOT GET DISTRACTED

Oh good luck with that! i find it a constant struggle to get done the things I need to do. I can focus for hours and hours on the same thing; but it's focussing on organising all the things that makes my head turn to jelly!

Good luck with it, sounds like a great plan to me.

Laughing at your wonderfully written post! I am the exact same way, very easily distracted. I have a zillion things I want to do and trying to decide is tough, and then even harder is focusing on it to completion! I hope you will find your powers of concentration and accomplish the things you set out to do.
