ahh yes, that would be the sea.

For years I have had this dream of a holiday in a cottage by the sea.
you know the one... the ones where you do a day trip to the beach and sit and look and ponder how nice it would be to have a holiday right here.
to let the kids run and explore without piling them home in the car afterwards
to have meals on the beach
to sit and look at the moon shining on the water
to find things
to think about things
to be the first, the last, the only people on the beach


Well I found it.
a cottage with a private beach
a cottage with a private beach at the end of the garden
a cottage with a private beach at the end of the garden on its own away from anywhere
a cottage with a private beach at the end of the garden on its own away from anywhere with  its own private woods.

.. and it was a beautiful white simple cottage with a wood burner and a hefty supply of wood.

Well, it is in Scotland!
