More flags...

Just to let you know that this piece is working now and that I just need to do the actual embroidery now!

As a bit of work avoidance I have been making more flags to sew onto the flag quilt (I think I need to think of a better title but that says exactly what it is). I had to just dash away from the computer as I realised that Portugal was not in that photo! I have found it again, its not one to miss as I have appliqued and embroidered a simple crest on it - future holidays may be decided by the simplicity of the flags so lots of visits to Belgium and we have no chance of getting to the states, no way am I doing all those stars!
Speaking of complicated flags, our own isn't that easy. I have a bit of a hit and miss approach to piecing and so its been taken apart lots of times and if anyone comments on it not being quite right...........!

Thanks for the comment. I don't expect to sell much but its nice to be chosen for a Treasury. Like your buttons. The new tool sounds v. helpful.

I really like the idea of a flag quilt, but we wouldn't have much to put on one these days. I spend all my time saving money for visits home, so my days of travelling the world seem to be over.

You're right about 'gotten' - I'd blame the fact that I'm ill, but I've got the horrible sinking feeling that I've just been living here far too long and am starting to talk like them...
