Things [ Hand Made ]

My chance to wonder about hand made things and tell the world about those I make, love and cherish!

Catching up.

Just dusting off the cobwebs as its been a couple of weeks since I have been here.
It all just got a little busy and something had to give. I am back to it now but the school holidays are looming.
So what have I been doing with all my time....

well made some of these with some red wire and a flower loom. I am very pleased with them and they are on my list to work on.

I entered this which was hard work and rather scary. I will tell you more about it when I find out if I have made it past the first round or not.Made endless length of bunting for a friend for her daughters birthday. Bunting is so dull to make!Painted and decorated little wooden boats for a friend who sells them.

and have even go ahead and made the teachers thank you gifts. They are tissue pockets but I will also sneak a bar of chocolate in there. (the photo refuses to stay the right way up!)

I am feeling a little lost and need a bit of inspiration now. I think I was so focused on the Hand and Lock competition that I didn't think about what I would do afterwards and I am no w finding it hard to settle to anything. There are loads of things I want to do but I just can't settle to them. Starting lots of little things but nothing to really sink my teeth into. I am sure it will come.

The boats are great! A little fleet of them would look super on the window sill.
It will come, once the right big project forms in your minds eye there'll be no stopping you.

you've been busy, love the boats! I have found the heat sapping all my energy and have sat quietly late at night in a breeze sewing a patchwork quilt top.

I feel the same way.
Not sure what to do with my hands! But you know? It's good to stop - just for a little while. Inspiration will be back and then you'll be back to too much on the go!!
Enjoy the break.

This is a comment for the post above this one [I could not see a comments link] Your work looks great and that is what I think you should hang on to and feel pleased about.

Looks like we can share a feeling of 'let down'. It doesn't really matter how one rationalizes ,its not nice being turned down when you have done your best. Hopefully we will have luck on our side next time.
