47 minutes and 7 seconds

...so I thought that as I had said the quilts at the show weren't quite to my taste I had better show you mine. i realised that I had never shown you the Paula Ozier fabric with the Yoshiko Jinzenji inspiration quilt.
I saw these at the Festival of Quilts 2 years ago and I finally finished it about a month ago.
It's on out bed and I love, love, love it. I would have shown you earlier but that requires me taking a photo and to do that requires more than 2 minutes spare a day, the quilt to be on a made bed, not to be covered in clothes waiting to go away.
Quilts are mighty difficult things to photograph and it was only a couple of moments ago when I remembered most people put them over the washing line.
Well its too late now!
Its the photos I find difficult when it come to the writing I just tend to bash out the first thoughts that come into my head.
Oh you noticed that did you.
I like quilts that have chance to let your eyes rest, a piece of plain something that breaks up the pattern.
To me, its more important than the pattern.
The title of the post?
Did I make you wonder?
did I
go on
ask me?
well as you asked. I took up running 2 years ago as a way to fight the ever expanding backside. I belong to a sociable women's running group and I run once a week with them and once a week with a friend.
it took me about a year of running to get to the point where I didn't hate it  Now I just about tolerate it as an excuse to be able to eat what I want. At the weekend I took part in a local fun run/race. I expected to do the 5 mile race in under an hour, I hoped to be about 55 minutes.
I still cant believe I ran it in 47 minutes and 7 seconds, yes, 47 minutes and 7 seconds, less than 10 minute miles.
To be honest, I have only just stopped wearing the medal round my neck
Not bad for a wobbly bottomed nearly 40 something!

Congratulations, the Quilt is beautiful, and the running, well fast, now if only it took 47 minutes and 7 seconds to make a quilt for the bed!

Gorgeous quilt and congratulations on the running time, though in my eyes, fun and run should never appear in the same sentence!

I can "take or leave" quilts, but my goodness, that is one I could TAKE! Lovely. Well done on the running, I think I am going to have to take something up exercise wise, but it will have to be swimming methinks.

I so agree about the quilt and I love what you have done. 47 minutes and 7 seconds sounded to me like the length of time it takes to change a duvet cover!! Well done with your running - keep it up.
