A sleeve bag tutorial.
A little project to start the year.
Slightly dark and dim photo but hey, it is janaury.
Your eyes do not deceive you, my coat rack is at an angle to fit under the stairs, taller people put their caost one end, smaller people can put theirs on the other.
These are my little bags I make from sleeves. Very simple and very quick.
I use one of mine to carry around my yarn and hook for my granny squares.
Dig through the wardrobe, mending bag or charity bag and find an old shirt or blouse.
Cut off the sleeve.
I add some lace or broderie anglaise to the cuff and then a pretty button to add a bit of something to it.
As ever I cant resist adding some words or a verse.
Add a handle.
Then its just a matter of sewing across the bottom. On this I have added in a little strip of pom pom trim
Sometimes I put a round base in to make a slightly different bag.
...and there it is a quick easy little bag for all sorts of things.
